So, what are your instructions going to be about?

by Steve Krause on October 15th, 2014

(I just emailed this to everyone, but I thought I’d post it here too):

As it says on the schedule, by today, everyone needs to pick which task is going to be the subject of your instructions. The three choices are:

  • Converting a PDF into an editable Google Document
  • Setting up offline access using Google Drive
  • Creating a basic Google Sites web page

I had a typo/I misspoke in a post about instructions and I suggested creating a Google Form as one of the options, but frankly, that’s actually more complicated than these three choices. So don’t do that.

If you are torn about which one to do, I would say these are listed more or less in the order of difficulty, at least in my mind. That is, I think converting a PDF into an editable google doc is easiest, making a google sites web page the most difficult, and setting up Google Drive for offline use is in the middle.

Also remember that you can use the Google help, me, and your classmates for resources to learn how to do any of these three things. Everyone has to write and test their own instructions, but that doesn’t mean you have to learn about whatever your writing instructions about alone. Anyway, shoot me an email today (Wednesday) and let me know what you’ve decided to do for this project.
